Welcome to Minor Injuries (Urgent Treatment Service) - Harwich

As from 1st October 2019, the Minor Injuries Unit at Fryatt Hospital becomes part of the Urgent Treatment Service for north east Essex.

A walk-in nurse-led service which is open 9am-5pm every day including weekends and public holidays, for assessment and treatment of minor injuries such as:

  • Wounds
  • sprains
  • Strains
  • Minor dislocations
  • Suspected fractures
  • Removal of foreign bodies
  • Burns and scalds
  • Bites and stings
  • Minor head injuries.

For minor illness, contact your pharmacy, GP or 111.
For dental problems, contact your dentist or 111.

The nearest A&E department is in Colchester. For any emergency that needs urgent or immediate treatment, you should go to A&E or call 999. This includes chest pain, severe uncontrolled pain or bleeding, acute shortness of breath or severe injury.
