Welcome to Sexual Health

Through a sexual health facilitator the  service can help you with: 

  • Advice on sexuality, and sexual health
  • Help your staff through sexual health training in order to better support you with your sexual well-being
  • Offer information on sexuality, sexual health, relationships
  • Support parents and carers regarding issues relating to the sexuality of people with learning disability
  • Suggest problem solving plans and strategies for inappropriate sexual behaviour
  • Offer practical advice on how to deliver information
  • Provide resources specifically designed for people who have a learning disability
  • Advise on laws relating to sexuality

 

Where is the service provided?

Appointments are held at the Mill Road Therapy Centre, Spinks Lane Centre in Witham, or at a local venue which is convenient for you or at your home.

How to access the service

If someone needs support from this Specialist Learning Disability team a referral form can be requested from acecic.ldahp-referrals@nhs.net

All referrals will be reviewed by a Learning Disability specialist. 

We will contact the referrer and service user if we are able to support them or we will guide them to other services which may be able to meet the needs more appropriately.
