Children's Community Teams

Childrens Community Services include Health Visiting and School Nursing teams supported by nursery nurses, breast feeding supporters and clerical staff. They offer a series of planned contacts for all children and their families living or attending school in North East Essex.

Who is the service provided to?

We offer a universal service for all babies and children and young people aged from birth to 16 years of age or up to 19 for vulnerable children, looked after children or those with child protection concerns.

Where is the service provided from?

Services are provided at a local children’s centres, in a clinic setting, your child’s school or where clinically indicated in your own home.

When is the service provided?

The service operates from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, except for Bank Holidays.

How do people access the service?

You can make a request or your child’s GP or school nurse may make a referral.
